A practical, experimental space for learning and practicing Chaos Magic—together.
The Chaos Magic Study Group (CMSG) is Liminal Temple’s ongoing practice community: discussion, training, experiments, and shared reflection. We keep it simple: try things, record results, compare notes, evolve.
What This Is
The Chaos Magic Study Group is a structured container for practice that still respects the core ethos of Chaos Magic: personal gnosis, creative methods, and results-oriented experimentation.
You’ll find:
- Weekly / monthly prompts to keep momentum
- A living curriculum (beginner-friendly, deep enough for veterans)
- Practice labs (sigils, trance, servitors, divination, thoughtforms, paradigm shifting)
- Recordkeeping methods (so your magic doesn’t evaporate into “vibes”)
- Community reflection without dogma
Who It’s For
This is for you if you want:
- A steady practice, not just occasional inspiration
- A community that’s serious-but-not-solemn
- A way to test techniques and build your own working system
- A home base for learning without having to “believe the right thing”
This may not be for you if you’re looking for:
- A single, fixed doctrine
- A guru model
- One true system
- Guaranteed outcomes
How It Works
- Join
- Access is hosted through the Temple community space (Discord). You’ll enter as a CMSG Member role once you complete onboarding.
- Orient
- Start with the quick “Practice Foundations” sequence: safety, intent, recordkeeping, and your first small experiments.
- Practice & Share
- Participate at your pace: weekly prompts, monthly labs, and optional group workings.
- Track Results
- We emphasize logs, reflection, and iteration—because that’s where power accumulates.

Important Note (Safety + Responsibility)
This is educational and experiential. You are responsible for your choices and outcomes.
Please participate only if you are in reasonably stable physical and mental health and can stay grounded while exploring altered states. If you’re currently in crisis, prioritize professional support and stabilization first.
Participation in this Study Group does not imply affiliation with any external initiatory orders or organizations. The Study Group stands on its own as a Liminal Temple community offering.
Do I need experience?
No. Beginners are welcome. We’ll start you with small, low-risk experiments and good recordkeeping.
Is this religious?
It’s a practice group inside a Temple context. We welcome multiple metaphysical framings—from psych to spirit—so long as we keep it respectful and non-coercive.
Do you meet in person?
Sometimes. Many gatherings are online; in-person events happen when scheduling and location align.
How much time does it take?
You can participate lightly (30–60 min/week) or go deep. Consistency matters more than intensity.
